British School of Boston, also known as British International School of Boston, is a private co-educational college preparatory day school that covers grades from Pre-K to Grade 12. It is managed by the provider of international schools, Nord Anglia Education. The British School of Boston has the authority to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). The British School of Boston offers a Toddler Program for children from 18 months to three years old. The Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten Program is designed for children from three to five years old. Lower School serves students from Grades 1 to 5. The mentioned schools use the National Curriculum of England and the International Primary Curriculum. Middle School covers Grades 6 to 8 and uses the National Curriculum of England. High School serves students from Grades 9 to 10 and uses Cambridge IGCSE. Admission Requirements

British School of Boston is a selective institution and assesses each prospective student. The school offers English-language support for international students but only accepts children with limited English abilities in the Lower School. English proficiency requirements in Middle and High Schools are stricter and determined on a case-by-case basis. British School of Boston also provides extra support for children who have gaps in their learning when the admission committee is confident in their success at the school.

The admission process at the British School of Boston includes several steps.

  1. Parents should contact the admissions team to schedule a one-hour virtual discovery meeting or the school tour with the Director of Admissions. During the meeting, parents tell them about the child and family as well as what they are seeking in a school experience. In their turn, the Director of Admissions shares information about the unique approaches of the British School of Boston to personalized learning and answers their questions.
  2. Parents and international students ought to submit an online application and complete the form with additional information. The school also accepts applications via SSATB’s Standard Application Online.
  3. Parents need to pay the one-time non-refundable application fee of $100.
  4. Parents of international students who study at school or visit childcare must ask the current school to provide the British School of Boston with report cards and student evaluations.

At the British School of Boston, tuition fees depend on the student’s stage of education. Parents of toddlers and children who attend preschool should pay $20,950 to $31,950 per year. The pre-Kindergarten year costs $34,170. Kindergarten and Grade 1 cost $37,880 per year. Grades 2 and 3 cost $38,950 per year. Grades 4 and 5 cost $39,680 per year. Grades 6 to 8 cost $40,850 per year. International students who want to study in Grades 9 to 12 need to pay $42,200 per year.

The British School of Boston also has additional fees. Students ought to pay exam fees of $2,600 in Grade 10 and $2,940 in Grade 12. There is also a one-time non-refundable new student fee of $2,600.
